                      Welcome!

The Hive Archive is a non-profit, feminist arts organization committed to fostering creative and artistic growth, collective learning, and relationships across differences for local artists and allies who are committed to ending sexism.  Our work is focused on empowerment through art, creative expression, and civic involvement.  Programs include exhibitions, performances, public art, education, studio workshops, salons, and SO much more!

The Hive has a 3-year strategic plan!

In February we outlined our Core Purpose & Values (read them here!). In March we defined our goals. Now the fun part comes: figuring out the "middle" (the real-life stuff we need to do in order to achieve those goals). Exciting! Find us on Facebook and stay tuned.

Take a break from winter's palette and create a frameable burst of color at our February Hive O'Clock Happy Hour workshop! With postcard-sized paper, ink, paint and markers, local artist Margaret Owen will lead a workshop on using color to create bold, energetic drawings that bring any page to life.

No drawing experience necessary!  Margaret will guide you through creating expressive paintings using a variety of prompts and inspiring images.  Come relax, create, and learn the art of sketching with COLOR!

You can see Margaret's work at http://margaretmowen.com.

$10 dollars ($5 for members!) Chips and salsa, materials, and festive atmosphere included!
